Sridhar Balasubramanian is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business
School . His teaching and research interests are in the areas of
marketing strategy, customer-focus, innovation and growth strategy,
services design and marketing, e-commerce, customer relationship
management, game theory, and the management of competition. His
research has won prestigious awards from organizations such as INFORMS

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Recruiting the Best and the Brightest: How to Develop a Market- and
Customer-Focused Mindset
Workplace Application: This workshop will address marketing and
business concepts that HR professionals can use to become more
market-, customer- and service-oriented.

This two-day program will analyze the employment marketplace and how
an applicant makes the decision to join or not join your organization.
Participants will also gain insight on how to build HR as a
world-class service provider and how to more effectively market the HR
function in their organizations.

Dr. Sridhar Balasubramanian
Associate Professor of Marketing, Kenan-Flagler Business School,
University of North Carolina

Sridhar Balasubramanian is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business
School. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of
marketing strategy, customer-focus, innovation and growth strategy,
services design and marketing, e-commerce, customer relationship
management, game theory, and the management of competition. His
research has won prestigious awards from organizations such as INFORMS
and the National Science Foundation.

Sridhar has been frequently recognized for outstanding teaching. He
was designated an MBA Master Teacher at UNC, and has also taught
executive education programs in Mexico, Portugal and India. He has
conducted executive education programs for and/or consulted with
numerous organizations, including BASF, Boeing, Caterpillar, John
Deere, SHRM, the State Bank of Hyderabad, Union Bank, the U.S. Navy,
and Xerox.

His work appears in journals such as Marketing Science, Management
Science, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing, Journal of the
Academy of Marketing Science, Decision Support Systems, and Sloan
Management Review. Before beginning his academic career, Sridhar was
an area sales manager for India's leading food manufacturing and
marketing company.

Sridhar received MA and Ph.D. degrees from Yale University, an MBA
from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM Bangalore-India), and a
B. Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT
Kharagpur-India).
